In 1984, Ray Schoenbaum opened Ray’s on the River, a waterfront restaurant on the bank of the Chattahoochee River. The restaurant was an instant success and soon after, two other locations followed: Ray’s in the City (downtown Atlanta) and Ray’s Killer Creek (Alpharetta). Credited with reinventing Atlanta’s fine dining restaurant scene, Ray’s success turned into local lore as the restaurants became enshrined on a small list of iconic institutions.
After almost forty years, Ray decided to step away from Ray’s and entrusted its future to a father and son team of restaurateurs. The duo continues to breathe new life into the restaurant and today, Ray’s is proud to celebrate four decades of famed service, fresh seafood, charbroiled steaks, award winning cocktails, and fine wines.
